As part of my Arts Council England Project From Soil to Cloth, I have been researching the history of George Wood Looms through George’s daughter. I am lucky enough to own two of them, numbers 24 and 49. I want to take this research further by reaching out to other George Wood Loom owners to see how many are still out there, tracing where they are now and gathering stories from those who have owned them. There are approximately 320 looms.
